How old is colorlight therapy?

The use of color as an energetic therapy goes back many centuries. The inhabitants of Egypt are said to have used light and color not only to treat physical diseases, but to heal the mind, to help women in childbirth and to help the dying in their transition from earthly to spiritual life.

Archaeologists have discovered that the healing temples were built already circular buildings with a vaulted roof to fill the temple with focused sunlight with the spectral colors.

Around the perimeter of the temple individual treatment rooms were built that resonated with the required color frequencies. In ancient Egypt the use of color in healing was attributed to Thoth, patron saint god of doctors and scholars.

The Ayurveda medicine treatment has included the use of coloured minerals and gems which were believed to be a concentration of cosmic rays.
Classical Chinese medicine is based on the great medical compendium, the Nei Ching, in which five methods of treatment; curing the mind, feeding the body, giving medication, treating the whole body and using acupuncture and moxibustion. Color was applied in the form of herbs, minerals and ointments.

From the first century N.C.

During the early phase of the first century, the early Christian church considered those medical practices relating to color and other unorthodox methods of treatment as pagan. This drove such practices underground, where ancient knowledge was passed on orally.

Although many Greek and Roman writings on procedures were lost, many were preserved and translated, first into Arabic and later into Latin. Color was restored by the excellent Persian doctor, Avicenna medical practices.

In the Middle Ages Paracelsus again regained this knowledge using the power of color rays for healing along with music and herbs. Unfortunately, he was ridiculed for his work and most of his manuscripts were burned, but now he thought by many as one of the greatest doctors and healers of his time.

In the nineteenth century the use of medicines grew and the concept of treating body and mind became lost. The emphasis was placed on disorders of the physical body. With the exclusion of the psyche emotional and mental aspects of colors fell into disuse.

The new thinking after this period was attributed to Dr. Seth Pancoast and Dr. Edwin Babbitt.

At the beginning of the twentieth century, color was examined by the occultist, philosopher, teacher and religious leader, Rudolf Steiner. He related color to mathematical form, in belief that form it had the power to enhance the color effect.

Two great twentieth century pioneers of color therapy were Dinshah Ghadiali and Dr. Harry Spitler. Ghadiali was a qualified physicist however he had no medical training. Nevertheless, he was awarded four medical honorary titles for his research into colorlight.

Spit, a doctor and an optometrist, developed a system of color treatment called syntonics which administered light directly through the eyes. Jakob Liberman elaborated this method in many books.

Heliotherapy and science

Sunlight treatment (heliotherapy) involves the absorption of the full color spectrum of sunlight. It was reintroduced to the mid-nineteenth century by Jacob Lorber who claimed that any part of the body suffering from disease may be exposed to radiation from the sun.

Another pioneer, Danish doctor Niels Ryberg Finsen, used artificial light, through the instrument known as the carbon arc, for the treatment of skin tuberculosis.

At present, the medical profession is using various forms of light treatment. Studies conducted in the 1960s suggested that blue light allows it to get rid of bilirubin in the liver of jaundice babies.

More recent applications of light

Color in the way of acupuncture was recently reintroduced in the form of “colorpuncture” by scientist Peter Mandel. He discovered that targeted colored light on acupuncture points has a powerful healing effect on the physical and energetic organs. His technique involves administering the right colors at the points that need a treatment.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is treated with full-spectrum light. SAD is caused by the high levels of the hormone melatonin in the blood during hours with daylight. One method of treating this condition is for the client to sit in front of a light box equipped with full-spectrum lamps. Colorlight therapy is an efficient method of treating SAD.

Tweaklite

The concept of the Tweaklite can handle all mentioned forms of colorlight therapy. It is a universal instrument that can reproduce any desired colour. Not only existing techniques are supported, but also the professional can compose his own protocols.
The instrument can be fully programmed so that future developments can also be implemented.

How colorlight therapy works

Color can be applied in different ways such as radiating light on the body through colored filters or lenses, through drinking or visualization. Even the color of the clothes worn and food eaten have an impact on the body. The colors used in the environment and the type of lighting also have a profound effect.

We are energetic beings. Within our body there is natural system of light as vibration that is generated in the DNA of each cell. This vibration is amplified and emitted by the cells as communication with other cells within our physical body. Groups of cells create electromagnetic fields that reflect the status of the organs. These electromagnetic fields can both store data and indicate how the body grows and develops. The vibrations have different frequencies which in turn can be seen as the colors of light.

The information in these fields can be influenced by applications of colored light. Colors convert the information and energy into matter. The cells communicate with each other by means of photons, light waves. This process is called bio-communication.

When color reaches a cell, the electrons in the cells are reorganized. Some absorb photons and vibrate in higher frequencies. Another color produces photons that bring the electrons to lower energy levels. In both cases, this information of the photons, the electron activity energy, is directly available in the whole body. These impulses react immediately with the body’s other control systems, especially those of the hormone system and the nervous system. This harmonizes the total body activity.

When cells absorb energy, they will later radiate the same energy again. That energy is released as a weak electromagnetic field. In terms of colorlight therapy it means that those cells resonate on that particular color and emit this energy again.

Color light protocols

There are many colorlight protocols available. Color sessions with fixed colors can last from 5 to 30 minutes depending on the protocol applied.

Colour therapy using coloured light can be easily applied. The client does not always need to take off clothing and the procedure is painless.

Colorlight therapy can be helpful in treating sleep disorders, learning difficulties, stimulating immune system, relieving stress and headaches, relieving symptoms of PMS and other hormone disorders and more.

Please note that colorlight therapy is not intended to replace the a medical treatment by a qualified practitioner. If you have a serious medical condition or any health risks always consult your doctor before starting any treatment.
